We would like to offer you a warm welcome to Falmouth Boat Construction.
We are a small family owned yard offering friendly and helpful advice and boat services.
The office team is made up of:
Owen (Yard Manager) – who has been with the company since July 2003. His knowledge of boats of all types and sizes is extensive and he is sure to be able to answer your query. He has spent many years in the Marine Industry and can be seen out sailing around the local area as well as the English Riviera. If you require information, please use our enquiry form on this site, which is submitted directly to Owen. Alternatively, when telephoning or simply dropping in, the first people you are likely to speak to are either Kate or Tracey.
Kate (Office Manager) has been with the yard since December 2004. Kate’s role includes all aspects of the Accounts department, customer care, administration and is the yard’s RNLI administrator.
Tracey (General Secretary /Administrator) is the newest member of staff. She joined the company in May 2008 and is responsible for looking after our customers and their accounts, as well as assisting Kate.
Both Kate and Tracey provide the essential first point of contact and try to help in anyway possible.
Martin (Stores Manager) can also be called upon to provide information on vital parts and suppliers. He is also our Health and Safety guru.
Finally, completing the team, are Bernie and his wife Liz (Directors). Bernie was originally employed as Yard Manager when the company was trading under the ‘sails’ of Tufnol Industries Group. In 2001 Bernie and Liz bought Falmouth Boat Construction which became part of Bagley Marine.
Bernie can be seen regularly racing in ‘Frenetic Caper’ and Owen races in ‘Nibbler’, against some of our long established customers. (Sometimes beating them!)
Since 2002 there have been a number of changes to the yard, all of which improve the surroundings and efficiency of the business, also creating extra space for outside storage for the winter season and customer lock-up stores.
The yard is proud to be the main RNLI contractor in the South West. Our main areas of work are on the Trent, Severn and Mersey classes and works range from small technical repairs to full refits. Further details can be found in the RNLI News on this site. Although we are always busy looking after the RNLI needs we are never to busy to look after you
